On the various mediums of Advertising!

Advertising is a unique art of brand communication. It is only through an advertising campaign of a brand, service or business that customers become aware about its presence in the market and also about its various utilities. Advertising is also like a bridge between potential target groups and the brand. A brand, business or service needs to be connected with its potential target groups to generate awareness about its presence and to encourage customers to buy it.

An advertising campaign can be launched through multiple numbers of channels. Television Advertising, Radio Advertising, Print Advertising, Outdoor Advertising, Online Advertising etc. are some common forms of brand promotion among advertisers.

Television Advertising is one of the age-old practices of promotion. From day to day products, banking services, business ideas, to automobiles, television advertising is open for any type of brand or business. Enriched by audio and visual effects, television commercials are one of the best means to provide a good brand recall on customers’ mind. The brand jingles or slogans are also easily remembered by customers through a television commercial. Especially in a country like India, television advertising is a successful practice among advertisers and brand owners. Radio Advertising is also a popular means of brand promotion among Indian advertisers. The only varying feature between television and radio advertising is that radio ads rely only on audio effects.

Print advertising i.e. any type of brand information available in a print format is one of the seasoned means of promotion among Indian advertisers. Print ads such as brochures, leaflets, pamphlets, classifieds etc. are still preferred means of presenting brand information among customers. The introduction of digital printing has encouraged more advertisers to adopt print media.

Another seasoned means of advertising is outdoor media. Outdoor Advertising practices are far expanded to various avenues. Technology has done much wonder in outdoor advertising domain. Traditional billboard ads are also replaced by digital billboards.
